The Global Urban Humanities Initiative is pleased to co-sponsor these talks organized by the Urban Design students to encourage dialogues on contemporary topics of social and political relevance in the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley. This platform will provide a space for conversations about inequity, violence, alternative methods of design and organization, and the future of our cities by directly engaging with local and global practitioners, advocates, contexts and projects. The themes for each of the days are - Hostile Urbanism, Community Urbanism, Informal Urbanism, Edible Urbanism and Next Urbanism.
