Sociology PhD Candidate Chris Herring Publishes Homelessness Policing Article

Sociology PhD candidate Chris Herring publishes an article in the American Sociological Review on “Complaint-Oriented Policing: Regulating Homelessness in Public Space.” His research includes analyzing over 3 million 911 and 311 call records and participant observations alongside police officers, social workers and homeless individuals residing on the streets of San Francisco.
